Q: What if I have to miss a class? Do I need to wait to sign up?
Q: I have an irregular schedule, can I still do training?
Q: What if I can't come to the classes after purchasing them? Can I get a refund?
- You should bring a regular leash (no retractable, chain or bungee type leashes),
- A collar or harness (preferably a martingale collar or front-clip harness),
- Soft training treats
- Your vaccination records
- You may want to bring a chair to sit in.
Q: Do I pay ahead of time or do I pay the first day of class?
- You must pay for the class in order to be registered and admitted to class. Unfortunately, too many people promised to pay at the beginning of class and never showed up, leaving our classes with spaces to be filled and people turned away. The same goes for private lessons. You will not be scheduled for your first lesson until you pay for the lessons as we have had too many no-shows.
Q: How old does my puppy need to be to come to class?
- Your puppy should have had at least his/her second set of shots for their protection
Q: I have an older dog. Do I still come to the puppy class
- Yes. All dogs, regardless of age, usually start out with the beginner 1/ puppy class and there is no age-limit.
Q: What breeds of dogs do you allow in classes?
- We accept all breeds of dogs, however, if they are large, we do ask that the owner be able to keep them from going to other dogs. We do not accept wolf-hybrids
Q: My dog is really hyper. Do I need private lessons or the beginner class?
- Virtually all puppies and dogs coming to the beginner/puppy class have less than stellar manners. They pull on the leash, jump on people, lunge at other dogs, and sometimes bark. You will not be alone with those issues! If your dog has serious aggression issues, however, private training might be best. We also now have an in-home option where the trainer comes to you! Check out the in-home page for more information.
Q: What if I have to miss a class? Do I need to wait to sign up?
- No! Once you sign up for classes, you will have access to our student section that has all the handouts as well as some videos to keep you working while you are away.
Q: I have an irregular schedule, can I still do training?
- Yes! We have private lessons available that will adjust to your schedule.
Q: What if I can't come to the classes after purchasing them? Can I get a refund?
- We do not give refunds, however, you can opt for another class time within 1 year from original purchase date. We will allow you to apply them to one other set of classes in this time period. We will not allow you reschedule them again once you have chosen the 2nd class date.
