Applied Behavior Analysis & Intervention

These sessions are designed to address fear, reactivity, and aggression in dogs. While some basic obedience may be taught as part of the treatment plan, the primary focus of the lessons is to tackle the dog's underlying emotional issues and assist with behaviors that fall outside traditional obedience training. These lessons are conducted exclusively by Christi Kirby-Baron, CDBC, CPDT-KA, IAABC-ADT.
Pre-payment is required for the full intake and planning session. This session is akin to visiting a healthcare or mental health professional for the first time. You will have the opportunity to provide information and ask questions. In this meeting, you can expect:
Your commitment to the training plan and your ability to follow through with the lessons significantly impact the process and the need for additional training time. Although it's impossible to accurately predict the number of lessons you will need, once you choose to work through your plan with me, some of the resources available to you will include:

- A comprehensive intake interview to gather your history and relevant facts, followed by a discussion and assessment.
- Addressing any questions you might have regarding the treatment process.
- Establishing goals for the treatment pathway and determining the necessary steps.
- Estimating the time commitment and resources required to implement your plan.
- Discussing variables that may influence your prognosis.
- Providing immediate support through management recommendations.

- Providing information to your veterinarian to assist in your dog's treatment and care along with his/her medical team.
- Email and text message support.
- In-person lessons if the consultant deems it appropriate based on the treatment plan.
- Zoom or FaceTime lessons.
- The option for me to collaborate with your veterinarian, groomer, dog walker, or other professionals, should they be willing to work together on your dog's behavioral needs.
- Video review and feedback.
- Written daily assignments.
- Access to video demonstrations for exercises.
- Product recommendations.
